Configuration of the Engage: LinkChecker module is simple.

The only configuration steps you need to deal with involve who you give rights to see the module. This module is created for users with administration/edit rights on a Portal, so there is no need to make this module visible to all users. Simple drop the module on a page, and in the settings for the module make the module visible to only the Editors of your site.

You only need to install the module in one location, on one page, as it will search across all Text/HTML modules on your site. Though you can install it in mulitple locations if you so choose.
