Introducing Engage: Events!

We're pleased to announce the Alpha release of Engage: Events. Engage is offering a FREE Alpha release for a limited time to gain feedback and start a dialogue with the DNN community to determine the direction of Engage: Events.

The Alpha release is available FREE to registered users of engagemodules.com. You can download Engage: Events from our downloads page.

The license for Engage: Events has an expiration date so the timeframe for you to give feedback and help determine the direction of our module is for a limited time only (until October 1, 2008). To accomplish this we have tied the module to a web service, so the module will not work if you are not connected to the internet.

Re: Introducing Engage: Events!

Here's my initial notes after trying out the module on your demo site...

Having the Week # in the date picker is confusing... My brain wants that first column to be Sunday and so for Monday events it wants to pick the 2nd column which is actually Monday. I also think Sunday and Saturday should have a different background color.

The end date should be set to the same day as the start date when the start date is modified. Or something like that... If I setup an event for a couple months in advance, it stinks to have to scroll up the 2 months again when the End Date obviously isn't going to be 2 month ahead of the end date

On the calendar view page, when you mouseover an Event, the Event Description is displaying HTML markup.

On the demo site, http://demo.engagemodules.com/EngageEVENTS/tabid/82/Default.aspx, I'm getting the following error when I try to go to settings.
A critical error has occurred.
Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Thank you very much for your feedback.  I have created an issue in our tracking system for your first item, it is the Make date pickers easier to read issue, if you want to track it.

We have already taken note of the other two issue you mention, they are Automatically fill in an end date and HTML markup shown in event description on hoverover.

I'll take a look at our demo site and see what is causing that error, thanks for letting us know.

Thanks,

Brian Dukes
