I'm trying to use Engage:publish to convert a current static site that has about 900 articles (press releases) into a dnn one. I've created the sql script that does the import. One question that came up is the following:

Is there a way to store metadata (e.g. an organization "Index Code", that almost all our articles have) in Engage? And, mainly, is there a way to get this information and display it when displaying the article? (is this what custom views are about?) Is this at all possible and can you point me to an example?

Yeah, I have this same requirement too. Custom fields at the article and category levels are sorely need.  The abilty to display and sort these custom fields are required too.  I hope it's on the todo list. I believe that the dnnArtile product by zlDNN has this so hoping it arrives in this product soon too.
