Another CSS Puzzle for Custom Display
Modified By Dan Allen on 11/24/2008 8:18:10 AM)

This is the next step in a problem I have had figuring out how to format a listing of articles. I had another question posted about the font-family and font-size.  Mr. Chris Hammond was kind enough to help me through a typo and a syntax problem that got those elements straightened out. I just received a warm thank you from our end users, so I will pass that along to you as well, thank you.

Now, I need to add little dots and blockquotes, in effect, to make bullets.

The problem is visible at this page, in the links in the right navigation.  The links in the right navigation are produced by an Engage Publish module, set to Custom Display.  The font displayed now is almost correct, but I need it have bullet dots and the text needs to wrap and space itself vertically as it does in the right nav on this page

As always, any assistance will be extremely much appreciated.

Dan

Re: Another CSS Puzzle for Custom Display

Dan, that one might be a little harder to do with the Custom List module. The Category Navigation (nlevels) display type uses bullets and might be better suited for this. Any chance you can try that one out? It might require some other CSS tweaking, but it should provide you a much easier time getting bullets in there.

Re: Another CSS Puzzle for Custom Display

Chris,

Thank you again for helping out.  I will try the Category Navigation (nlevels), and see how far I can get.  This sounds like a good tip.  I doubt time has been lost starting with Custom Display, considering I was still at the typo phase of ironing this out.  ;-)  If I get stuck I will let you know, but I will give it the ol' college try first.

Regards,
Dan
