I get this after upgrading from 1.0 to 1.2.1, did the required Ajax version change and if so what is the new version needed? Was there a upgrade document I missed that warned of this? If I missed it I apologize, I'm cramming to get something working for a lcient meeting in 30 minutes.
The version didn't change, but I can guess by the error you're using a DNN Version between 4.6-4.8.1.
DNN 4.8.2 has a fix for this bug, it's a core DNN issue. If you absolutely can't upgrade right now I actually have a blog post on my personal site with a temporary fix for the core code

Chris, i've got a messy messy hosting situation where on staging we have access to everything, and on live have no access... doing an upgrade or your quick patch temp fix isn't really an option w/o jumping through hurdles.
any other suggesions?
