Setting Settings

The following question or task is what I would want it to show or act.

  1. I would like to enter the direction on how to search and change the font so that one line can look like a heading and the second line would look like normal text
  2. i would like to search either or by city, zip, business
  3. I would like to attach a document to the following address that can be veiw by the public.

Re: Setting Settings

Hello,

I think I understand the questions but if you need more clarification, please let me know.

1. In Display Settings, you should be able to enter Search Instructions. This text uses the styles for h1. You can style your Heading 1 or style the class "locatorHeader"

2. You can search by zip and/or city, state, but business is not a field available for users to search

3. The locations details field is rich text and will allow you to attach a document to your locations to be viewed in the locations detail screen.

I hope this helps.

I'm not entirely sure of how you're using "Business." Is this the location's name?

The short answer to either situation is that there isn't a configuration to allow for other fields to be searched. If you need this funcationlity, we could look at a sponsored enhancment request in which we would fast track your custom development to the top of the list in the release cycle and charge a discounted rate. If you're interested in something like this, please contact us (sales@engagesoftware.com).

Re: Setting Settings

I'm not sure I understand your request exactly, so if I'm off please correct me. You can add custom attributes (field) for each type of location which gives you the ability to define additional characteristics for your locations.

I'm not sure which form you mean by "Enter Location". In the manage locations screen, you can add values to the custom attributes after selecting the locations type. If the location type has custom attributes, then you can fill in the values for these attributes for the location here. Does this help?
